Welcome to WRAGE. This site was created in 2007 to campaign against the plans for gravel extraction at Walkford and Roeshot.
The Walkford site is no longer included as a preferred area by Hampshire- thanks to everyone’s efforts!
The Roeshot site on the Hampshire side of the border, is currently on a list of ‘reserved’ sites for gravel extraction. Our current priority though should be the new Roeshot site which would be on the Dorset side and is now proposed by Dorset as a possible site for extraction of gravel. Dorset County Council finished the initial consultation on the Minerals site list on 12th Dec 2008. We are waiting the results of this.
